Im trying these out seeing as they have stated that there is a noticable improvement since previous driver releases.

I'll report back with any news of astronomical framerates

Remember to remove the old drivers, reboot into safe mode then run Driver cleaner Pro (i have a registered copy if you need it) then reboot again and install the new drivers. Viola

I went onto the site but they dont have a driver for my video cards. I have 2 8600GTX cards, bummer

Don't you mean 8600GTS ? I can't find your card anywhere.

If you have 2 x 8600GTS in SLI then Forceware 178.13 will run np.

I've had no trouble from these drivers so far (touch wood) all my games seem to run ok, maybe a bit better i dont know but definately not worse.

Do you really have to delete the old driver? I usually just install the new driver. Speaking about drivers lol, I just remembered that I'm still using the drivers you got from the installation disc hah, time to upgrade eh.

Well i used to overwrite the drivers too. I guess its down to whether you are having problems with the driver you are using atm or not. If its causing lock-ups crashes hangs or whatever then it's best to remove all traces of the driver from your C drive and registry first before you apply the new one. but then again you might be opening up a can of worms by installing a new one.
