My host has given me the option to update to 1.3 in the control panel (eg servers controlpanel is the same as lowpings) BUT and this is a big but, Nightwolfen updated to 1.3 client and then couldn't get on our server, so the problem is whether to update to 1.3 and have the server only available for clients with the new patch or leave it a couple of weeks and then patch the server. Hmmmmmmmm

i'd suggest leaving it, untill we know for sure everyone had 1.3, tho how long will it really take for everyone to update. days?

bit of advice, make sure that the "record level" in your cod4 voice chat menu is on maximum because i didnt realise that if this is turned down to minimum and you are on teamspeak, as soon as you start the game other players on teamspeak can't hear you, you can hear what they say but they can't hear you.

more advice. Nightwolf has updated to the 1.3 patch today and couldnt get on our server, so to rejoin the server he had to re-install cod4 back to version 1.0 but in doing that he lost all his guns and perks and rank. That is a bitch.....BUT if you are running Windows Vista right click on C:/activision/cod4/players , then "properties" then select the "previous versions" tab and click on the file date before you patched, and that way you should get back to your previous level.
