COD4 : Your View

Righty doky its been out a few days what do you think .

First the single player .

Its intense your pushed a long at a really fast pace witch to me took some of the shine of it as i like to look around but in this you cant really .
Looks wise its fantastic the best part of the game is the sniper level were your all suited up and yes i shot the dog the first time i know I'm a muppet but i could not resist .

Ill give the game a 7-8 out of ten a little short and id like not to of been pushed in certain directions at times .

Now the Multi play

At first i was like woo this is figen great but then the cracks started to show , Really bad spawns so bang your dead theres just not enough spawn points . Map's some are really nice some are really bad but theres plenty at 16 ,
The guns are great feel nice just a shame you have to unlock most of them it means all newbies are going to be out gunned from the start i said it in bf2 and i say it here its elitist . guns should be open to all and theres loads of them .
I think the air-strikes are a fun idea kill 5 in a row and call in the jets or copters and it looks fantastic .
Now the big question is will i be playing in a month sorry to say probably not with crysis next week and ut3 the week after and even sof3 after that makes me think ill be playing one of them or ill be on css or TF2 witch still rocks and is the best mp Ive played in years .

Ill give the mp 6 out of ten as it feels like an xbox360 game ported to pc and I'm really sad to say that ,


oops missed a bit connecting to servers i get a lot of time outs you can give yourself a bit better chance by opening console and typing in this /cl_connectionAttempts 30 as it on 10 seconds in default .

Yeah I do love that in SP, but in MP? If someone is using a silenced weapon they wont show on the radar, if this guy sit in a house or something camping and get a 5 kill streak he will be using air strike after air strike.

I feel the same here. What game should I take in first hand? I think we should all get the best MP so we can play together once again, it's about time isnt it? Now we got 3 main games here, SOF:PB, COD4 and Crysis. The only game none of us has tried yet is SOF:PB as there's no demo. We've all played COD4 and Crysis. Both of them are great games, now I fear that SOF:PB is very low on my Next-to-get list. Crysis is definitely first, then of course COD4.

I like this game alot, so much action. Maps looks great, the story is good but it's abit short. So far I havent found anything that I dont like with so it's all good, I give it a 9/10, 9 because it was to short story.

Well I did not shoot the dog when I first saw it, but I tried to just run next to him. Then I get like 2000 other dogs on me lol.

I'm getting more and more into the mp at moment ok i will stop playing next week but so far i hate it and love it got my 26 promotion hehe so Ive not played it much seen some one with 49 now thats some time playing mp . Ive been trying to post a video on youtube for creating a class but cant get to upload page will try again laters .

My mp tips .

Bind melay close to hand as stabbings great fun .

Set the 5 classes for easy picking with the purks you want .

Deep breaths hehe have fun .

Choose a fast firing gun for close combat the Uzi is deadly . (once you unlock it) .

I love everything about the mp, and I'm very picky..It just sucks you right in..I give mp a perfect score..It looks and runs great, the maps are fun , the weapons are great. The game types kick ass, no capture the flag but you really dont need it. I'm sure crysis will be to much for my pc to handle so my vote is for cod4, I thinks its gona be a huge game. The only thing that will kill this game is cheater's , because you can shoot through walls hehe

MORE on COD4 :

The only cons i have so far, I hate how i can never hear someone come up behind me, i heard something about how it was tested on a 7.1 sound and if you don't have 7.1 you get stabbed in the back

LIke bf2, when you are hitting someone your crosshair lets you know it. I have never been a fan of that period ! . BUt but alot of guns in this game can shoot through many objects, and if you hit someone on teh other side of a wall, it still tells you that your hitting your target, So thats not cool then not cool..but these are the times it seems..

Other than that all it took was 1 hour of me playing this game to forget about sof2, and now that im at 24 hours, sof3 would have to be a good game for me to buy it cod4 the win!

i'm still loving it, but it is hard to tell where the foot steps are coming from.

I'd have to agree i love the game from what I played. you get immersed in a world of insane gameplay. it's pretty darn good.

the movement is top. i really like how it all moves. much much much better than cod2 which i thought sucked.

i'd see us playing this a lot more in the future. I'd say getting a clan together first, entering some comps or what not and them maybe a server. but lets not talk about that till we are all playing together regularly.

i never played the other COD games but like the rest of you sofaholics i havent touched sof2 since i installed it 2 weeks ago, in fact i dont think i ever got to the end of SOF2 singleplayer and that seems to have happened again with COD4. The multiplayer is excellent once you get settled with the movement and controls, look past all the rankings and level-ups and you got a solid shooter in there, the different guns and perks in my opinion give the multi more depth than previous shooters, so once you reach level55 the gameplay still holds onto ya.
Like many of you have said, NO game since SOF2 has kept me up until 4-5am like SOF2 did years ago and for that i give it 4.5/5

I like it a lot but finally found a server running the mod id run tonight you could choose any gun and any perk but also mean you can turn any of as for me martyrdom wrecks the game its gust a cheep kill id also like to make air strikes at 10 kill and copters at around 12 or removed witch i know can be done now .

might juat be me but ita beginning to bug me .

I personally think the airstrike and shopper suck. It only makes people camp more ... Sure it's great if you can have it but why not add extra skillpoints instead of easy kills.
The game is great untill some asshole decides to hide and camp to get his strike/shopper-support.

Take it off and play the game with regular weapons only.

i agree. The choppers and airstrikes are great when its YOU calling them "ooh look im on 29 kills and every1 else hasn't reached 10 yet" but again when the other team have 3-4 sharpshooters getting 5-6-7 killstreaks and you are constantly bombarded with airstrikes and choppers and its SPAWNDIESPAWNDIE i find myself getting a tad angry .

I didn't know that you could increase the killcount for the "Hardpoints". Gonna look into that and maybe change it on mine, also the amount of times i have been killed by someone using that f****n "noobtube" (M203) jesus that really gets my back-up but aparet from those gripes i love it
