Having installed Vista Ultimate recently and had trouble with my Creative Audigy soundcard making distorted and random popping noises, and after trying 2-3 different drivers i decided to rip it out and just use the on-board chip on my motherboard. I wasn't aware that Creative haven't released Vista drivers for Audigy (a very common chipset) or that some funtionality of the X-FI sound cards is lost under Vista. I was planning on using an X-FI sound card for my next build, but after reading all about the way they have treated a certain Daniel_K who posted on Creatives forum that he had found a fix and could offer it to users of X-FI products, and "it seems", the way they have neglected their customers by denying or seeming to deny them drivers that actually work with their products in the hope they will buy more Creative products thereby helping the Company with it's massive quarterly losses (they have sold their building in Singapore for a reported $130,000,000 and rented it back) I WONT BE BUYING CREATIVE PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN!!Forum Here

It's appalling m8. I now have a 5.1 EAX sound card that at the time cost me £99.99 and has been no problem under Windows XP, sitting there on my window sill. I was ready to start slagging Bill off with the first of my Vista gripes, but it seems like we have another mini-microsoft type company that doesn't give a rats ass about anything other than money. What is this world coming to when instead of downloading driver updates so our precious and EXPENSIVE hardware is compatible with our software, we have to buy MORE hardware Might get this Here
