This was a popular thread on a forum i went to for a while, however it wont work for me anymore.
I dont expect this to get much interest but as i'm coming to the end of Magician I want to find another great book. I do like fantasy if i am honest.
Any good suggestion ?
Magician is great. may read the next book and follow the saga.

Reading Spitfire Women, about the women pilots of the ATA during WW2. Before that it was The Last Tommy, the life story of Harry Patch the last surviving Tommy of WW1 who fought in the trenches. He's only 112 and it's a very interesting read.

I cant remember the last book I finished, I hate reading books only did it because we had to in school. I remember reading Harry Potter a few years ago and that's fantasy but I assume you already red them.

Yep I to have read all the HP books more than once and love them the books are way better than the films and there ok .
Normally i read only Horror , used to read only Shaun Hudson read at least 30 of them more than once .
But i have branched out to Richard Laymon and Graham Masterton once again horror thats about it bar Matthew Stokoe but hes a bit sick in the topic department but good books the two ive read .
I all so read the whole Resident evil books witch theres one for every game first one not so great as it was like playing the game but they got better and gave a nice insite into the characters will have to see if theres a res 4 as not read that one .
No help really but if your ever after a horror try Slugs/breading grounds and my fave assassins by Hutson but i love his books .

How can you hate books. Youth of today are so uncultured. You would hate books too when you have been forced to read crap books for 12 years in school. Maybe in a few years I might find a book to read but right now I wouldnt even think about it. Before I go to bed I listen to music with my iPod or watch a movie.

Me to MinD, i'm not really into reading books and i havent matured into a bookworm either, although saying that while i was working in Dublin for 3 weeks at the beggining of this year, flying there and back each week i decided to pick up a book called "The real Bravo Two Zero-The truth behind Bravo Two Zero" by Michael Asher and read that on the plane and in the hotel (theres only so much Guiness you can drink). I must admit after having read Bravo Two Zero i was a bit sceptical about what really went on over there in the desert of Iraq when the 22 SAS Regiment were dropped behind enemy lines without the right equipment, it seemed that it was a bit too 'HollyWood' and the author of this book set out to find out the truth, himself having served with the Parachute Regiment and in the 23 SAS Regiment and a fluent speaker of the local language. It's a good read depending on if you like war stories with a few facts thrown in.

I'm thinking of Thw Wheel of Time, i think it's called, may have a look at that. Everyone raves about the series, but damn if there's not like 25 books in the series. Well, not that many, but close. My first is The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy if you haven't read them yet. If you like easy to read adventure fantasy I recommend The Cleric Quintet by R.A. Salvatore. Based in the DnD world, but you don't have to know anything to enjoy them. The Sword of Shanarrah series is good. By Terry Brooks. The Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams is awesome. Enders Game series by Orson Scott Card is another awesome series. Want some deeper sci-fi? Snowcrash or Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson. Like cyberpunk? Burning Chrome, Count Zero and Neuromancer by William Gibson. Video game books? The Mass Effect book, Revelation by Drew Karpyshyn really builds on the backstory to the game. It's all about Anderson and Saren, and explains the technology more. I could keep going, but I'll calm down for now. Yes, I read a lot. ;D

22 SAS Regiment were dropped behind enemy lines without the right equipment, it seemed that it was a bit too 'Hollywood' and the author of this book set out to find out the truth Andy Mcnab has been ostracized by 22 Regiment in the last few years. This book and investigations by other journalists have uncovered what some people already knew, that he is full of shit.

Believe it or not I went to school aswell. I was also forced to read books I didn't want to read. Hardly an excuse to Hate books though is it? Yes, but you didnt finish school 3 months ago. Im sure that in a few years I will find it relaxing to read a book, but right now I just cant
