This is what happens to me while playing cod4, its random and happens on both SP and MP.Sometimes i can play for hours without a problem, sometimes it happens after 10 minutes I had to take pic with my phone as i cant use printscreen because the whole thing locks up forcing me to push the reset button.  |

it's the matrix they are trying to get through to you. one day u'll wake up n u'll see a blank cmd screen...

LOL it does seem like the matrix, its beginning to piss me off tbh, ive just pulled the heatsink off the graphics card and applied some zalman thermal paste, there didnt seem to be enough on originally.
I will let you know if it fixes it.

Yeah, ive tried numerous drivers with same effect, ive just run 3dmark 4 times and all seems normal i wont know for sure though until i give cod4 a bashing

I had the same problem with my ATI X1950PRO graphics card, sometimes it would do it, sometimes not depending on the game i was playing. My problem was that the GPU wasn't so much overheating, it just didnt like temperatures of over 70 celcius, i could have taken the heatsink off and polished it and also applied some good paste, but why the hell should i. I got my money back and bought an Nvidea xfx7950gt and guess what, no problems.

Nvidia FTW in graphics cards now i reckon, and i have solved my problem just stuck some zalman paste on and now all is fine
